On 24th Ayr United produced probably one of their best ever results. The lined up in Stockholm against the Swedish national side on their Scandinavian tour and recorded a sensational 3-1 win.

The local press reported that this was the first time that any club side had been ‘honoured’ to play the full Swedish national side instead of the usual Swedish Association side.
