Day Not To Remember

Even this early in the history of Ayr United Football Club, 6th September 1913 turned out to be one of their most disastrous ever and remains so today. Stevenson United were playing in the same league as Ayr United reserves yet managed to record a 1-0 victory against the Honest Men in a Scottish Qualifying Cup match.

Ayr United managed to get some measure of revenge on 26th May 1917 when they met Stevenston in a friendly in aid of war charities funds winning 4-2.
