Saints Tarnished

Southampton's first visit to Somerset Park was on 4th August 1951 in a pre-season friendly which the Southampton ‘Saints’ won by 4-1.

It was a somewhat different story when the clubs met some 40 years later on 21st July 1992 at Somerset Park, Ayr when 1,640 saw Kennedy score to give Ayr an excellent 1-0 win.
