Goal Feast Against the Nomads
Ayr United played a friendly match on 1st January 1914 against an English-Irish combination club who called themselves the Northern Nomads.
The match was only notable for the debut of Johnny Crosby for Ayr at the age of 17 and the 6-4 scoreline in Ayr’s favour.
