30,000 Fans On Tour of Africa

As part of their pre-season tour of Africa in June 1976, Ayr United visited Lagos for the match against Enugu Rangers. On 30th June 1976, in front of 30,000 people, Phillips scored twice and Gray hit a third to give Ayr a comfortable 3-0 win.
