Win for Cumbrians

Carlisle United made their first visit to Ayr When the teams met in a pre-season friendly on 29th July 1997.

Carlisle United managed a 2-0 win at Somerset Park on that occasion in front of a very poor 814 fans. A combined matchday progarmme was produced for the game.
