Campbell, Archie - Attacker

Was with Ayr FC when it merged to form Ayr United. Archie had the distinction of scoring the first ever league goal for Ayr United FC in the first ever competitive match against Port Glasgow on 20th August 1910. For the record the goal came in 39 minutes. He was fifth highest scorer that season with 9 goals. Went on to play for Abercorn and Albion Rovers.  Reported as dying in 1st WW of war wounds.
