Easy Pickings Against Arthurlie

Ayr United defeated Arthurlie on 8th October 1910 by 3-0 in this first ever clash held at Somerset Park. The first match held at Arthurlie’s Dunterlie Park was held on 8th April 1911 ending in a 4-1 win for Ayr.

Success continued the following season with a 3-0 win for the Honest Men at Ayr on 6th January 1912 and this was followed up on 3rd February 1912 with a 1-0 win in the away fixture.

The teams next met on 9th November 1912 at Dunterlie Park with United again winning, this time by 2-1, but Ayr dropped league points when they could only manage a 0-0 draw at home on 25th January 1913.
