Bankies Beaten in Cup Final

The first match between Ayr United and Annbank United occurred on 11th May 1912. The two clubs had made their way to the Ayr Charity Cup Final which took place at Beresford Park, Ayr.

The Ayr version of United won by 2-0.

The clubs next met in a Ayrshire Cup 2nd round tie on 15th February 1913 at Somerset Park which Ayr won comfortably by 5-2.  Annbank were on the wrong end of 5 goals against United at Beresford Park on 3rd May 1913. The 5-0 defeat that day in the Ayrshire Charity Cup semi-final gave Ayr United a final tie against Hurlford.
