Well Done John!

This match against the Danish side AGF Aarhus formed the testimonial for Ayr United’s long serving player, John Murphy. A solid defender, many thought that he never received the credit for his sterling efforts and that ellusive place in the Scotland team never materialised.

The match, played on 12th March 1974, ended in a 4-1 win for Ayr.
