tn_Morton (h) 5 Feb 49Manager Bob Ferrier resigned after December’s 7-1 thrashing by Stenhousemuir.

New man Archie Anderson took over in March and finished the season in a excellent 9th place despite some major swings in fortune ranging from scoring 8 goals at Dundee United but losing nine against Cowdenbeath. 

There was little success in the Scottish Cup, going out in the 2nd round to Morton.

The reward was a successful end of season tour of the Highlands and Islands.
